A safe is not a luxury: why your till needs one

Every retail counter in Malta has the same quiet problem: cash accumulates in the till from morning to closing, and everybody in the shop knows it. A deposit safe solves the problem for the price of a few weeks of insurance excess.

The slot is the point. Staff drop notes, envelopes or pouches through the front slot all day. Nobody needs the code; nobody can be pressured into opening it, because they genuinely cannot. Only the keyholder opens the door, once, at banking time.

Fire is the other thief. A steel safe protects paper takings and documents from the fire risk every kitchen and stockroom carries. If your records and your cash live in the same drawer, they share the same bad night.

Bolted down, out of sight. A deposit safe earns its keep anchored to the slab, under the counter or in the back office — not carried out the back door with the evening rush.

Insurers notice. Many policies treat cash-on-premises differently when it is held in an anchored safe. Ask your broker — the safe often pays for itself in the premium.

We keep deposit safes in stock in San Gwann, and our team delivers and anchors them across Malta. One visit, one bolt-down, problem retired.
